I headed up to the Hayman burn area of the west end of Matucat rd to check out Mel and Aleks' reports. Pretty nice. The Lupine are off the chart! Lots of blue, white, and pink. Nice paintbrush, some bluebells, "yellow ones" etc. There were spots of Iris at the lower, wetter elevations but they are on their last legs.

this didn't compress well, I had to drop the quality to 45 and reduce the dimensions to get it down to size.

I'm still learning how to shoot macros with my 65mm MPE. Here are some lupine detail shots

A couple of weeks ago I went on a day hike with my wife and son in the Platte Springs area, near Matucat rd, on the edge of the Hayman burn area. Wild Iris was everywhere.
Nice set of images! I just got back from some camping in the Lost Creek Wilderness, and can certainly state that the flowers are absolutely nuts up there.

Just an FYI, but #2 and #3 are penstemon, not lupine. They are both cool shots. Pretty serious endevor to shoot with the MPE65 in the field.
