I know it is quite the icon, but I had to go there to take a few spring shots of the Bells. I am not in shape so I didn't do much hiking, but I definitely got wet that weekend. I haven't still updated my membership yet to post photos directly onto this site, I just haven't had the money to do it yet
I like the 2nd one, the "Classic" Bells shot, nice mirror like reflection, nice Greens, and great clouds hugging the valley. Couple things I notice, the lake reflection has a warmer tone than the actual Bells and sky, not sure why, or how easy to fix that would be?. Second thing is all 4 images look a little oversharpened to my eyes, at least on my monitor. Looks like you had a great trip, with some nice images!.
You know how a few weeks ago I was making the case for shooting Maroon Lake at times other than fall, when you share the shoreline with 100 of your closest friends whom you've never met? Your Bells shots can be summed up in four words: I rest my case. Those are awesome, Paul! How many people were there to share the magnificence with you?
#2 is awesome! Great job. I drove to Aspen Thurs PM only to discover rain with a forecast of more rain on Friday morning so I went back to Salida and kayaked Friday instead.
