Any information on the state of reflection lakes - is the road open and has the ice melted? Planning a trip around the 4th of July - any info would be appreciated
thx

The road is open from the west. Flood damage between the Stevens Canyon Entrance and Box Canyon has that section of the road closed until the end of July. I really doubt the snow will be melted by the 4th, but the lakes should at least be partially thawed.

You may want to consider the two Tipsoo Lakes (which I think are nicer). Can't comment on road/lake conditions.

Hey Nagendra,

I'm just curious to know how your trip went. Had I not been so swamped with work across these last two months, I would also have suggested Tipsoo at Chinook Pass. At any rate, did you head up there?

Cheers,

Hi
Sorry for the delayed response. The trip went ok, tho there was still ice on parts of reflection lakes on the July 4th weekend. The flowers were just starting off on the edge of the road and there was still a sheet of ice on the other side of th road too. Looked like it would take a few weeks to get to see more blooming flowers by Paradise.
thx
