Wren in B&W
An early morning shot of an obliging little creature. Not usualy hanging around long enough for me to capture an image at relatively close range.

A cracking pic of a wren, like to see this in colour  What prompted you to go B&W? I like the shot has the urgency of a wren, brought out by the comp.

Ye wee beauty! As we say up here! Great composition in the curve of mush behind - and a tense pose that makes me think its just so close to vanishing from the frame that I should get my 'looking' done really quick before its gone! Excellent.

Nice change.

The impending flight and that aparant indignant look bring this together with some real and typical wrenism, or arrogance.

Paul

per John Swifts posting, this doesn't work for me and falls into the too "bitty" category, the wrens plumage iad tree trunk are just too fussy, for me there is no strong contrasts to hold your attention. As a result its just a B&W conversion

Contrast this with Tims next posting of the smew which is a more ideal subject for B&W
