Cascade wildflowers
I went back up to Cascade this morning to photograph the wildflowers I saw there earlier in the week. As I expected the lighting is more favorable in the AM, and the generally hazy conditions helped even out the lighting.

Love the indigo/orange combo here Bob. If you can reign the brightness of that little bit of log, I think that would be a good thing. The overall flow of the image is great.

Flowers are nice Bob but my eye is drawn to the rock in the background in the first image and on the second one the twig/branch bugs me. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks Mel and Jody! I appreciate the input.
Mel, after I posted the first one, I thought that maybe the log was a little too hot, but I wasn't sure. I guess I was right. I should be able to tone it down.

I agree that the first image needs some toning down of the highlights, the bright background log draws the eyes. I like the light in the second image, but the fact the one petal almost touches the oof twig is a slight distraction - beautiful flowers!.

I really like the comp on the first image much better Bob, but as already mentioned, the whites look hot to me.

I agree about the whites. But otherwise, nice shots.
