Little Blue Fledgling
Little Blue fledgling from Lake Martin. They get so hungry even a stick begins to look good!

40D, 700mm, f/6.3, 1/1600s, ISO 200, cropped about 30%

Excellent image Daniel. One of your best from a technical standpoint. Nice job! :toast:

So, they start out white? I have no idea where my Little Blues are nesting. I'm debating going out in the morning to watch my Smurfs fishing. Your picture is very crisp and clean. Good whites! Love it!

I agree, one of your best technically. Great control of the whites, soft subtle bg and great detail. The only suggestion I have would be to clone out the white area in the bg UR.

Really nice work Daniel!

Very nice!! I like the depth of field in this image as it really helps set the bird apart from the background. I also like your timing to catch the bird's pose. Excellent Work.

Really outstanding work with the lighting, Daniel, and a great pose. I think Wayne's suggestion about the UR is a good one.
