Taken this morning on my way to work. It looks a bit red to me, but when I try to correct it just looks worse. I am red color blind so sometimes I second guess myself. What do you think?
I love this litte peninsula...it's so peaceful. I don't think it looks too red. Looks nice! I can't imagine not being able to see red. How do you do your color editing?

If any just a bit. Looks pretty good the way it is, might take it a bit toward the orange.

That is some nice late light you captured Matthew, very peaceful.
Compositionally I think this image would have benefitted from a slightly lower and right camera position. Placing the entire picnic table in silhouette against the water and moving the sun's reflection so it didn't intersect with the table would have made for a cleaner image.
Just my $0.02 worth. That and $4 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks!
Karla the color blindness is sort of hard to explain. I can see red but sometimes it doesn't stand and sometimes it just looks a little different I guess. Color editing can be difficult.
Yea Wayne I agree with you about the composition. I was actually done shooting and walking back to the car (I was late for work) when I saw this and figured I needed to do something with it. I really didn't spend enough time composing.
Interesting light alright, was it hot, hazy air that cause the color with the sun that high?
Just an idea: I have a slight color vision deficiency as well. Recently, after a few helpful comments on whacked out posts I have started using a temporary layer that amps the color to the point it is obvious.
Judging from the great color in your previous posts you have the editing thing mostly figured out.
Like Ed said, looks like you have a pretty good hold on the color editing...I like Wayne's 2 cents too, and although that is a great perception, I would have to say go a little down and left in the comp...My reasoning is...I reallly like the reflection thrown on the picnic table...So now, you have atleast 4 cents worth of trivial information!
Yea Ed it was extremely hazy. I actually was late getting to the lake but the haze saved me. I made the same stop this morning a bit earlier and the conditions were the same. I've seen some cool light this week thanks to all the morning humidity and haze.
Keep the 2 cents coming. I'm only 398 cents away from that Starbucks cup of coffee.
I like your second location better. I was out this morning too, but had my back to the sun watching Egrets. I should have turned around to see this pretty sunrise.
yea really liking the new camera so far. Great kit lens that puts just about every other kit lens out there to shame. I am really enjoying the one touch exposure bracketing. Makes HDR way to easy. I could go on and on but I won't. Great camera, although I won't be shooting at extreme ISO's with it.

Are you liking the new camera?
My two cents added to the kitty!
