I thought the clouds were interesting; but not convinced that the overall shot works?

Sal, this is definitely a GOOD photo as far as balance goes, but it just doesn't jump out at me. Also wondering if you could move your levels slider to the left a bit, and add a slight S curve to bring out the contrast.

I agree w/Bryan on the curves adjustment. I'd like to see the clouds a brighter white. As for the shot overall? I think it's stunning!

Some real nice elements and a fine composition here all combine to make a very good image.
I agree with the others that a bit more 'darkroom' work can help quite a bit. Where was this taken?

That be the Sneffels Range, practically your backyard, John.

Oh, for Pete's sake....thanks, Todd.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. Headed to the darkroom.
Todd is correct. It was taken from Dallas Road off of 62

Very nice shot. Peaceful and well composed. Wish that you had some additional drama in the clouds to excite the emotions. Will be fun to see your darkroom work.

Sal,

I like it...great capture. It would be nice if this were taken during sunrise/sunset to get a different lighting effect, but the clouds were there then, so I think you did the best you could with the elements. I do think a bump in contrast would help. Again, nice shot.

I think it works, if you adjust the contrast. Very nice.

I really like the comp... Just the bottom part would be a great composition in itself, but the sky adds some nice space to it.

I agree about the contrast - just a little more would make it pop!
