Dreaming Godwit
I need a break from all these Sea birds. I've been processing a lot of images and I can still hear the Gannets screaming in my head

The Godwit's are flying to Africa right now and the first tagged Godwit flew from the Netherlands to Senegal without having a tea break. I think that's quite amazing.

Near my home there's a good place with lot's of Godwit's. This night all seem to come together. The light, sun, birds, post and of course great company of Mark.

Hope you will enjoy this.

iso 200 1/400 sec. F5.6 full frame and hand held lying in the grass.

Lovely image, I like how the Godwit is looking towards the sun and the silhouetted grass all comes together to form a great shot!

Really effective and like the angle taken showing from grass stems all the way up to the fence and finally the subject. :toast:

Beautiful shot Edwin but I just find the sun a little bit over powering.
I remember them like this over there well.
Beautiful!
Cheers

this is a superb image - agree with John R ref the sun, but that's no big deal and easily rectified (depending on your POV). Excellent composition
