Good on the bird its self but needs to be over to the left in my opinion and I,m affaid the background is a litttle cluttered. The white compositae flower especially eye dragging.
Nice shot though -better than anything I,ve got on these. ( I haven't got any )
Still think you mean mirrored -not flipped - but no big deal.

PS How did you call it ?

For those photographing Birds in the UK it should be noted that tape luring should not be used during the breeding season and is frowned upon during all other times, not sure how the law officially stands, but for schedule 1 species it should not be attempted as this would surely count as distubance.

Not taking the thunder away from your image Ray,just a little pointer for those that don't know!.

hi Ray, nice bird.. i have a few nits tho,, the light is very harsh, hence detail is lost in the bird, also there are black lines around some of the branches, this might be due to the light or, a tad to much sharpening.

Cheers

I think you and everyone else are making a few assumptions here. Take another look at the image, all is not as it appears.

Mark, as always this shot is how it was taken full frame, the only work done on it, was sizing and one pass of sharpening. It’s how I always post, so I don’t understand the sharpening comment, but I’ll look into it.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

Do I get three guesses?

I was merely making a comment about tape luring in the UK,assume the LB is a levos bird?

Re: Do I get three guesses?

If you want them.

I know you were talking about the UK, and yes it was in Lesvos. Even if this shot had been in the UK, it is highly unlikely that, by using the call as I did, I wouldn’t have been open to prosecution.

One thing I would point out, is the number of say Kingfisher shots which we see, with the fishes head pointing away from the bird, I think you see what I’m getting at.

That a whole different kettle of fish!

And not really!
