Nothing too amazing here, but since I'm on a 4 day working week this past month (cut backs) Friday has become my photo outing day. Today I edged my bets on sunrise in RMNP, well the clouds cooperated for a while, then after sunrise it was partly cloudy.
Fortunately I took both my camera bodies with me, and was able to capture the Bluebird too.

That's a lot of sky on the Moraine Park shot, but I like it! It's a different take on that much-photographed location. I really like the bluebird image as well. How did you get him to pose on those flowers for you?
I really like both of these quite a bit!
I think that the first image could be cropped an inch or so down from the top just to the top of the main 'poufy' cloud. A much better (color) balance, IMO.
You've been on a roll lately...great work here!

Beautiful! Love the clouds and the comp in the first image.
Beautiful Work!!!
Rod Chandler and I were up at Moraine Park a bit later shooting wild flower macros. I had driven up from Littleton and got there just after sunrise. I was half way between Lyons and Estes and saw that beautiful light. Rod got some shots of the early light on Long's Peak. He was shooting from the Bear Lake Park entrance. I guess I had better get up earlier next trip or spend the night.
That bird shot is incredible. Birds aren't easy to photograph. I got my shot of the Dipper by accident. He just showed up at the right time.

Well done on both images Nick. The crop idea on the first one might work nicely, as I think it would also place more focus on that main cloud. The bluebird is an awesome shot as well!
Very, very nice Nick!!!! These are both excellent shots. I think I might back off the saturation on the first image just a bit, at least in the grass but that is minor. Excellent work!
Thanks guys for the great comments/feedback I've been getting lately. Reference shot #1, I do have an actual comp that focuses on that one cloud more, attached above. I personally prefered the one posted orginally, but I do see the merit in making the most of the cool wave cloud!.
Awesome shots, Nick! I like your 2nd version of the Moraine Park image better because of the crop, and I like the lighting on the peaks better in that one, too. I can never get tired of this place.
