The dragonfly is excellent; a shame about the stem it's perched on.

Very good detail, good dof and lovely contrasting colours.

I have to go and try to get a similar shot like this tomorrow, for the local nature reserve. Its a new species up here in't north and they want a picture for identification and confirmation.

Spot on - very nice image - shame it couldn;t have landed on a slight;y better perch.

I have been unsuccessfully chasing these around all afternoon!

maybe not the best perch in your main shot but a very nice image. Of the other perches, I'd go for the top right image

Top right floats my boat.

Thanks
Funnily enough I nearly went for that one but with the insect being on the angle its not quite so sharp. But sharpness isn't everything. Thanks anyway. Useful stuff..

Trying to justify that sigma lens you purchased last year I think.
Very good John.

Quite a selection John - for me all good.

Works for me John and I laughed when you posted so many other varieties of perch.. Often easy to get these guys to come to a well placed perch but the trick is getting the angle to photograph them in full detail, which you have achieved despite the perch..

Great stuff.

Very good John. I like the original post, but I too would go for top right of the four following ones.
