Herons and Egrets
Well, Dan sure made this a VERY hard act to follow. I found a few of the youngsters had started flying, a couple that could not fly yet were trying to feed themseleves by hoping down to the shore and I threw in an extra shot from the park this morning (duckling) for cute points...first one is coming in for a landing

Nice group of images. Caught the first one right on. Thought you were in the Everglades for a moment

Nice shots Kurt. I noticed that the immature herons were on the limbs contemplating if they should try out their wings. Glad you caught them in the act!

Yeah, but you held your own!
Great job in holding the exposure with the white birds. And yes, you scored major cute points with that last one.
Excellent captures, Kurt!

Well done Kurt, there were young ones flying when I was there but they are really hard to predict. Number 1 is great, you might clone out the sticks on the right side. You got close to the ducklings too!

Nice set! Love the duckling, it's definitely high on the cute factor. I think you did very well with all of the images.

Cool! I like #2 and the cute chick (cant beat cute chicks! )
Id clone out the extraneous branches in #1.

Thanks everyone for your comments!! Stan and Bill, I decided to leave the branches in to show he was landing, but it doesn't sound like it is helping tell that story , so thank you for the suggestions!
