Puffin silhouette
Just got back from 2 weeks of fun and games, spent a good chunk of last week doing nightshifts on Hermaness in Shetland.. just dumped all my images from my laptop to my main computer, thought i'd post one up.

That's an interesting shot. I like the colours in the bg and there is no doubt what the subject is either. Nice one.

I too like this shot. The wind-ruffled feathers and subtle colours of the BG make it very attractive. I wish I had thought of it. These are some of the few birds that will remain still long enough around people to allow for this kind of shot to be taken.

Very nice, and a different slant on puffins. :toast:

Puffins with Pom Poms..! A great take on this subject and very well seen and thought out image. I like it something completely different comes along. This fits the bill nicely.

a very nice shot, not many Puffin colonies lend themselves to this type of image.

quite refreshing to see a different take on a common species (well, common on the forum at the moment anyway) - you've captured this well, instantly recognizable as a Puffin - top marks for thinking outside the box

cheers
