Just a quick and dirty shot of this field of wildflowers along US24 about 1 mile East of the junction with US285 outside of Buena Vista. I was coming home from Great Sand Dunes and saw these flowers and made a quick u-turn. Parked where I could and shot through the fence. I noticed a few other patches along 24 on both sides of Wilkinson Pass, but this was by far the largest.
I haven't seen such lush conditions for a long time. Catching up on the posts from this weekend...seems like everyone is having a lot of fun this year!

Nice shot, Jamie. Not only a wealth of flowers, but a great sky, too.
The flowers in South Park, Wilkerson Pass and Hayman Burn have all been really nice lately. As Bob pointed out, the flowers are great and the popcorn clouds provide a great mid day sky.
Thanks, guys! This was taken about 1:00pm - certainly not ideal time of day, but that was when I was passing thru. This could be a really neat morning shot for someone in the area...the field was huge!!
