Lil' Stinker
Hi All,

I found this small striped skunk along the road to our place west of Woodland Park. He was following the edge of the road eating this & that, and was willing to pose a few minutes for me (with tail cocked & locked, I might add).

Here's one more shot as he's just decided to continue his walk. I managed to pan just right to freeze his head, while the rest of him shows some motion. Cute little guy!

He is pretty cute, but I don't miss the skunks that lived in the old neighborhood at all. Stinky critters.

I once accidentally caught one in a cage trap and it was an interesting challenge to get him out and let him go without getting skunked! A large sheet of polythene did the trick!

Glad that your camera doesn't capture smells. I wonder if anyone is planning to add that feature?

Nice sense of motion in the second image. IThere is a skunk that lives around my complex. Would love to get some shots of him.

The first shot reminds me of Don King...

Nice capture, Ken. I had one alongside a road near Crawford, CO last fall but it never gave me a clear shot, due to the 4-8" high grass in the ditch.
