Glacier Natl Park in Late Sept-Early Oct?

Anyone been to GNP last week of Sept-first week in Oct?

Is anything still open? I was looking into places to stay and seems like all of them close mid-Sept.

Was trying to plan my first trip there...

I'll bite. What's GNP? :confused:

Great Sand Dunes NP? Grand Canyon NP? Black Canyon of the Gunnison? Grand Tetons?

No, GNP is Glacier NP. And it basically closes down the second week of Sept. Going-to-the-sun road appears to close when the snow starts up in the high country.

I would go earlier in Sept. if you can. It is more likely that the roads will be open and the leaves will be changing. Hard saying what will be open in October.
