Yep! They're all over the place, might as well shoot 'em (uh, with a 5D2 and a 70-200mm/2.8 that is...). I was fortunate to get two together in flight, they usually prance around on the ground REALLY slowly.
Not much PS work, just dodged their bellies to see detail and leaned on the Vibrance slider to give the sky a little life. And USM of course.
I like this a lot, Paul--great capture. On my monitor, the sky seems a bit overcooked (too much cyan, it appears, in the LRC)...might want to back off on the vibrance a bit or play around with a slight hue adjustment with the blues and cyans. Minor stuff in any case; excellent photo.

I'm not certain but aren't these Canada Geese?

Yeah Kerry, I cooked it alright, almost burned the crust! I didn't do serious editing, but I do plan on going back and will keep that in mind.
Ross, you are absolutely correct, I knew that but just spaced it. Thanks for the correction!
Definatley a lot of them around and if yours hatched as well as ours there will be a good supply of subjects. I don't see a problem on either of my monitors, could just be me.
Thanks Toni, although I did crop off the sides since it was just sky... I thought a 4x5 ratio might work for this. I think I'd better revisit the RAW file and do a better post-process job on this one!
