Guanella Pass
I headed up to Guanella Pass on Saturday in hopes of catching a good sunset. It was fun getting up there from Georgetown (the sign stating "Road Damage Ahead" was a bit of an understatement!), but I had some great skies and hopefully came away with a couple good shots. Here are 2 of my favorites. Both were shot with the 20D, 17-40, and are I blended exposures for the sky and the foreground. C&C welcome. Thanks for looking.

Both of these are really nice Chris, but #2 is my favourite with the cool fluffy clouds and light hitting the peaks - well worth the bumpy road for!.

Wow! I was there a few weeks ago and there was a lot more snow on those peaks. You got some incredible light here! :toast:

#2 pushes my button! Nice.

I like #2 as well. You appropriately made a lot of room for those colorful clouds yet still got Mt. Bierstadt in the frame. Yes, the Georgetown side especially has to be one of the most pothole ridden paved (most of the way) roads in Colorado. Definitely, it demands some careful driving.

Chris - Love #2 especially! I was just over the hill at Mt Evans on Saturday night shooting as well. Some good clouds and light - and you have captured them very well here!
