A few from Silver Jack Res.
I've been pretty swamped lately so I had to go back to just lurking here. But I'll try to catch up on comments a little later. I had a chance to get away for a short photo trip this past weekend to Silver Jack Reservoir/Ridgeway area. It turned out to be even shorter then I intended due to my crazy dog and hiking partner getting injured on one of the hikes. I can put up with a lot of pain and misery for some shots but it's not fair to the little guy :frown: I think it was just a sprain and he seems to be fine now but he had me a little worried. Any tips on teaching a herding dog to stop running circles around me on a trail?

But here is a few shots I was able to capture while there. Some of you may have seen them on FB so I apologize for being redundant. I still appreciate everyone's C&C.

I really like the layers and the fog in #1, but all three are great!

That second one is pure magic...congratulations!!
#3 is also quite excellent. Looks like a scene from Middle Earth.

Wha's FB?

Sorry everyone, FB is short for Facebook

All of them are extra good. For some reason #2 looks oversharpened on my monitor though.

I noticed that too. Thanks Doug, I'm not sure what happened there but I'm working on fixing it now.

I love those slivers of red in all that cool blue.

All are nice but #2 is downright gorgeous, Aleksandra! I don't recall ever seeing a photo of that peak. Great work! :toast:

This is one of my favorite areas in Colorado. Nice stuff, especially #2. How far up Middle Fork did you have to go for this comp? I just recently started exploring the West Fork area. I wish this place wasn't such a long drive from where I live.

Love that repost of Precipice Peak. The blue cast is a bit much for me, but that's just my tastes.

Paul, I forgot to add that I took that shot about 10 minutes from the TH so not very far in. I wasn't even planning on shooting sunrise but that comp and light just jumped at me.

Nice stuff, Aleks. I was just there last week and got diddly except for blue skies.

I'm really liking the second shot as well as the first.

These are all really excellent...I love the simplicity of #1 with the contrasts of the trees, fog, and craggy rocks. The other ones are great too!
