Mother bear and two small cubs in a tree about a mile from my home in Castle Rock, hard to see the 2nd cub but moma bear and 1 cub posed nicely... after about 10 minutes came down the tree and left in opposite direction from me. Great fun to see, enjoyed the antics.

Excellent pose! What a rare treat for you. Glad you had a camera.
A bit more postprocessing to bring down the highlights on the tree & foliage, and to bring out a bit more detail in the shadows and you've got a real winner here!

Great eye and good job capturing it...I agree with John about the highlights and shadows....regards, Rajeev :toast:

What a cool catch! John's suggestions are good ones, but this is more just about being there to see it.

bit more work on it to reduce the highlights some... hopefully a refresh improves it some... wasnt a nature shoot per se, was great to watch them for 15 minutes and they eventurally climbed down the tree and ampled off in opposite direction, the mom was quite aware we were watching her but never seem too stressed... as luck would have it I was on high ground about eye level with her in tree, with ground sloping sharply towards the tree... all the bears looked very healthy... this was in an acerage neighborhood in castle rock.. fun shots though left me wanting for a 400mm!!!
