Map Lichen (Lecidella spp )
The OAP's trip to Lynmouth was abit of a disater. My foot gave way with an old problem (age)and gout ! . 8+ hours in a bus and 4 hours at the town. inluding three toilet stops !
Anyway managed a snapshot of this attractive lichen on the rocks in the town. Must go back there someday.- with two feet. Not even allowed tofeed the seagulls !!

Your obviously not as old as you think John, sounds like you're not really ready to be on coach tours just yet.. However, you've come away with an 'Arty' lichen pic nonetheless. It is good fun trying to find the patterns in these. Thanks for sharing and keep of the rich food and drink :biggrin:

Lichens can be fascinating subjects and this is a great image of this species...

Just chuckling at the elastic support cover! Don't know what you were doing on a bus trip in the first place! Did you have a little tipple on the bus :biggrin:
A fascinating composition, could look at the patterns for ever - and the colours are lovely.
