Hi all,

Taken early this morning, making the most of the first rays of sun. Not sure on the central-ish comp , it was quite difficult to come up with anything different though. Advice and critique welcome.

Thanks for looking,

Lewis.

In all his splendour.. A slight rotation of the camera might have given this a slightly stronger comp but it's a great study nonetheless with all the details you could want. A really nice example and well controlled DOF.

Very nice.... a little bit more rotation to more of a diagonal.... great use of DoF and a great view of this B'fly with its wings open...

a lovely shot, although the horizontal angle of the grass stem looks a little unnatural. It would perhaps look more natural rotated CW 90 degrees.

That point aside, great detail and exposure.

Thanks for the feedback guys, silly me for not rotating the camera a bit, would have been very simple  .

I have managed to rotate another shot that had a little more room and then cropped it, any better? I tried rotating it 90 degrees but it didn't look right IMO.

Love this Lewis especially the second. Good detail and great b/g with good exposure in the whites.
