New Wildlife Commissioner

The new commissioner to the Fish and Game Commission is Emon Mahony, a member of my congregation and a friend. He should be a good one as he supports both hunters and fishermen and those who enjoy nature and wildlife in a more passive way like bird watching, photography, hiking, etc. My turkey photos were from his farm.

I actually knew him back in the 90's from Fort Smith. I used to work as a news photographer at a Tv station (KHBS Channel 40/29) and interviewed him many times a year. He was the president of Oklahoma Gas and Electric. I always thought he was a good guy. Hopefully he will do us some justice in the AFGC. He needs to plant more song bird areas in the WMA's. Glad to know that he is a friend of yours.
