Fulmar x2
This photo of a Fulmar was taken on the Farne Islands this week during a three day trip there, beautiful place to see wildlife.I used the surrounding vegetation and ground cover to create this look.

Hi Craig,

Nice one, great bird! I think a tighter crop would work well here and improve the comp no end.

Nice one Craig, I like the idea only minor nit is I would have liked a bit more head turn towards you...

Interesting this must be the in focus species

Very nice indeed. I agree a little crop from the left would help, and of course if the bird doesn't turn it's head, nothing you can do.

Thanks Gents,Phil you know from my previous posts you kindly helped/commented on that I'm still having trouble getting the subject to look in my direction :frown: :frown: But I have photos of this Fulmar looking at me but the eye looks 'dead' as a storm was coming on this day and the light was fading, I have included one that is also full frame and calling for his mate with just a little catchlight in the eye, hope you like it.Thanks again   :wavey:

Now I really like your second post Craig... the first was good but this is super.... they do have very 'dark' eyes.

Yep, I agree, the second post is ace! The eye looks fine to me.

Both shots have there merits. Re the first shot, I think I would have considered cropping some of the L.H. side away.

Still two very nice shots, which I'm sure your pleased with.

Hello Craig.

Well seen and taken, like both images but second one is the winner for me.

Just need to watch the whites on the head of the second image.

Hi Craig - it was good to catch up (hope the car didn't stink too much with all that guano you were sitting in lol).

I'm with John on image 1 - slightly tighter crop with Fulmar more to the left just a tad.

The whites on image 2 have already been mentioned but it ticks all the boxes for me :toast:

Cheers, Graham
