The thing I noticed on Saltee was that the Wren overthere seem to sing louder than over here in Holland. It was quite easy to locate them and tried to capture them in a whole different setting. This wren was singing his lungs out on a big piramid shaped rock. Well, it's something else for a change
An excellent capture, but for me the rock is just a tad too dominant. Cropping will not only increase the emphasis on the Wren but you won’t loose any of the habitat.
Hi Edwin,
It's hard enough to get a shot of a wren at all in my experience, never mind to get one doing what it does best, belting out his song at a remarkable volume. I like the way that the large rock emphasises the smallness of the bird yet you still have a lot of detail. Very nice indeed.Eric

Really like the comp, maybe wish the entire rock was in focus at the bottom but only a small nit.
As Tim says King of the castle. Well caught.
Cheers

Nope, no cloning at all. I can see it too but have no idea what it is.

The bird caught mid-song is excellent, as is the contrasting size between the wren and the rock he's perched on.
