Night-Heron
I watched the Heron on the opposite bank hiding in the reeds for some little time before he appeared. Just after I took this he caught a fish which I also caught!

A really nice capture, everything just right, although I’m sure the yellow flowers will come in for some comment. I shall have to hunt out some of my Night heron shots, they really are gorgeous birds.

As I said a excellent shot, well seen, composed etc.

Hi Kim,

Lovely shot, very well balanced comp. I like the pose and fishing stare and the flowers add to the image IMO.

Cheers,

Lewis.

Very nice shot Kim, I like the composition and the cold and warm contrast of the colors.

Yes great situation and habitat, but the whole bird looks a bit "hard " on my gear.
A little less contrast might help. Was this a big crop ?
Cheers
John

Many thanks for the comments, will try it with a little less contrast John, although there was little editing. No it isn't a big crop - was lucky - it was a very narrow stretch of water and I was sitting straight opposite.
