I just came across this, and thought it would be good info to pass along. I looked through all the recent Mt Evans threads and didn't see mention, so hope I'm not repeating something.

Mt. Evans Road Closures

Anyway, it looks like they are planning to shut down the Mt Evans road every Wednesday and Thursday in the month of July, for lots of repairs. Glad I found this, as I was planning on heading up after work one day soon to shoot sunset.

I see on the linked website there is a blurb about lawsuit over fees being charged by the Forest Service (?????) has been overturned. Is this about the FS not supposed to be charging folks just to drive on the road since its actually a State Highway. I remember some posts about this last year or so.

Okay I guess I should have looked at the Access Fees more closely first. They don't charge just to drive non-stop the access road.
