Turtle Dove
Turtle Dove.
Certainly not many of these around these days

I had a pool in a quarry where I had some great times with stuff like this and many other species for several years .Then they re - instated the land last year and my pool was filled in. However, some great news the other day. The quarry has a new manager and they are digging me a new one where ever I want !I can have a permanent hide too so I feel its like a new lease of life. All I need is a big liner !

Brilliant capture, really detailed; these are so rare, certainly not here in Cheshire. Saw earlier in the year in Suffolk/

A lovely shot, John, and congratulations on the new ponds. Will you have to build the new hide yourself, or will they do that for you?

Regards,

David

Nice one John - used to see these locally a number of times during the spring/summer. However they appear to be in steep decline but did see one a few weeks back for the first time in three years!
