2 Brits do Rocky Mtn NP Part deux
As Bill mentioned he and I made our way up to the Ute trail in Rocky Mountain National Park this morning, my second hike into the area in a week. Having driven through rain in Estes, and a pretty wet Trail Ridge road, we started questioning whether getting up at 2.30am was such a good idea!.
Hopefully, this latest collection of images from Tombstone Ridge prove that it was worth getting up for, even if the decent light didn't last long.
Canon 5Dmkii, Canon 24-105L, Lee GND, CF tripod

#5 Decent light had faded, but at least Longs was kind of visible.

The first shot in this series is one I'd be proud to say I took. I think I like them pretty much in the order you posted them; the second one has great detail on the FG rocks, but the sunrise isn't quite as punchy as the first.

Nice stuff, Nick. #1 is my favorite, but these are all good. Looks like RMNP was the place to be today. I was at Dream Lake this morning. I'll post something later.

I was wondering if the high clouds forming in lee of the divide ended up blocking off all light for you. Looks like it worked out and you had a good shoot. Like the first one the best in the series due to the color in the clouds. Very nice set overall.

I hope you took a nap today so you can shoot fireworks tonight.

Nick, those first 3 are as good as anyone is doing anywhere! Fantastic shots! The comps are just superb!

Great stuff! Although it's nice to see Longs' summit, I prefer the ones with the clouds covering it.

Great shots Nick! I heard about that pool and went looking for it, twice but didn't see it. Glad you managed to find it and use it!

Nick, these are stunning! I like them all, but the sky color in number one, puts that one in first for me.

The first two are my favorites, but they're all just wonderful!
You sure had some beautiful light on this day.

These are great, Nick. I love the first and last ones, especially. You got up at 2:30am?? Oye! But, it was worth it! =)

Great collection of images, Nick. #1 is my personal favourite, closely followed by #2. Not a location I'm familiar with (unfortunately) but well worth getting up for! :toast: Cliff
