Happy 4th of July
I've never been very good at shooting fireworks displays, but I keep on trying...always lots of surprises.

Here's a photo from the display on Beaver Lake last night. Hundreds of boats surround the area for one of the best shows around. This shot was taken from about a mile away.

I hope everyone has a relaxing and safe Independence Day!

Nice one, Bill. Shooting fireworks is always a fun challenge :). I like that you were in position to catch the boats along with the fireworks. I had a great look at the fireworks tonight, but the boats were to the side of the display from my location.

That's an impressive burst! Given the scale provided by the boats in the scene I'd say that was one BIG explosion! You're going to need a wider lens next year if they're all that big Bill. Great work on this capture. Thanks for sharing!

Cool shot! I've never had success shooting fireworks. You did a fine job! The boats lend some scale to the scene. We just stayed home and watched all the neighbors burn their money last night. I must say, Topekans LOVE their fireworks - it's like a war zone around here on the 4th.
