Colorful Dream
Looks like everyone has been out this weekend. While Nick and Bill were up on Trail Ridge, I was up at Dream Lake. The color was not what I was hoping for and the wind was blowing so reflection shots were out, so I decided to play with my 10x ND. The foreground is a 30 sec exposure and I blended it with a 10 sec exposure for the background. All comments appreciated.
Paul
Happy 4th to all!

I think the colour and clouds worked out real nice Paul, and your choice to smooth out the water was a good call!. I'll second the wind, up on Trail Ridge you needed windproof coats and gloves!.

Neat shot! That lake is nothing but a pool of color.

I really like the vibrant colors. Excellent work on the blend, and brilliant of you to conceive it.

What a great idea, and your execution was flawless!
I really like the colorful water and the dynamic clouds.

Great shot and nice use of the 10x filter. I bought one of these filters last December and still need to find more opps like this to use it for.

Very nice choice of filter for the situation. Wish I had one of them 10x's. Like how the long exposure adds depth to the image through the clouds. Looks like it wasn't too windy as the tree tops on the left don't appear soft.

very very nice use of long exposure here, gotta love the glassy look of the lake and the beautiful light (and this color was not what you were hoping!?) I was up in Chasm lake the same day and the clouds were great too, but now I am kicking myself not playing with my 10x ND this time.
