I went out on the 3rd looking for some fish on the buffalo. The Longear Sunfish were guarding their nests on the river bed. I'm not experienced in editing underwater shots yet...
Cool shots Aaron. I've done a little underwater photography, but would love to do more... Keep shootin' and posting them... I really like the first one too!
Aaron, you have really nice collection of underwater photography. It looks like the last one was shot under the Ponca Bridge? I assume you have one of the high dollar enclosures for you 5DM2?
Nice shot of the Longear Sunfish (Lepomis megalotis). I've seen them with red bellies, but not all red. Must be an Arkansas variety . . . Hog Fan and all!
I am impressed that you have gone the underwater photography route. It opens up a lot of possibilities. I look forward to future postings.
Tom- I'm using a cheap $100.00 housing, but it's been modified to make it more stable and more valuable. It's actually pretty reliable and effective once you do the modifications that my brother does to them.
Thanks guys! It's a very fun way to shoot photos... Expect more.
I've always called those Pumpkin Seeds as well, but I think Longear is actually correct. They have a knack for getting an entire treble hook in there mouth that can be very difficult to get out. They are a pretty little fish though.

I'm still working on my dry land techniques Aaron. I'll leave the under water stuff to you! Thanks for sharing.

Nicely done.
