Last Light CD..
In the very last of the light and swirling winds I was mad enough to try and get out and continue the quest for some macro stuff. Needless to say most of it is now in the Trash..! However, did manage to get one or two of this CD before I knocked the tripod leg and it flew off.. All good sport I guess, despite the many expletives, mostly because I disturbed it..!

Have a good day folks,

Brett

At least I didnt get the blame for scaring it away!
Knowing first hand what the light and wind was like you did a first class job getting this shot.

Wish I could get that close, they normally disappear long before I get anywhere near them. Nice for iso2000 shows how good the new technology is getting.

A beautifully clean shot with excellent colour and detail. I think the compositon works well too. I struggle to get a good result with the 1d II at ISO 800 and my jaw dropped when I saw the ISO you used here!

Hi Brett

Beautiful detailed and clean image - I assume no noise reduction software!

A lovely detailed shot, and a lovely setting too.

ISO 2000

I really like its legs, they stick right out of the image, clipping the wings and abdomen don't bother me in the slightest, really nice overall...

Nice shot Brett - the whole beastie is hardly ever needed in order to get the best images - we do facial portraits of everything else so why not Dragons

I'm also impressed by the high ISO! I know this is only a low res shot but it does look very clean. A very nice shot Brett, the lighting and composition are spot on.

Thanks Guys, no noise reduction at all and it still looks very good at higher res as well.. I must say that the more I push the limits of the 5DMkII the more I'm impressed and this is no exception.

Very happy with the results so far, thanks for your interest.

ISO 2000 and no noise reduction at all? Impressive!

Very impressive indeed.... its the improved dynamic range at the higher ISO's that is making the biggest difference these days....

well done
