Yet more RMNP
I think I'm spending more time in RMNP lately than I am at home, even though I did drag the wife with me last night this time too!.
I made the drive up to Trail Ridge this time via Fall River road, boy the creek and Falls are flowing fast right now!. Elk are abundant on the tundra, and wildflowers are blooming along Old Fall River road.
With all that said, these following images having nothing to do with water, Elk or flowers . I'm posting these in as shot order, not in order of preference, so I'll be once again interested in which one gets the vote.
Canon 5Dmkii, 24-105, GND for some, Polarizer for some.

#3 This one I purposely exposed slightly darker to bring out the mood and moon. Probably my favourite one.

Your fave is my fave, but I also really like the clouds one (I know, shocking...), as well as #5 & #7.

#3 and #7 I like, good work Nick. #7 was a longer exposure judging by the moon.

Nick, very nice RMNP shots you've been coming in with. I like 3 and 6, but 6 seems a bit stronger with a crop off the top to the cloud top on the right hand side (more of a pano). It's my fav with that crop; see what you think.

Craig, I think you're right a Pano would work better, I was struggling with how to crop it before your idea - so how's this work now?.

I like the cropped version of #6, but maybe with less of the bottom cropped off. Nice Work!

These are all really nice, but my favourites are #1 and #7. Clouds in #1 are playing nice and staying clear of the rocks (compare with #2) making for a stronger composition, for me at least. I like number #3 too, but I find my eye moving back and forth between the moon and the top of Longs, whereas in #7 the moon has space to itself.

Seeing work like this makes me feel bad about not heading up to the park straight after work during the week!

I'll take the sky in #3 with the foreground lighting in #2.
#7 is very good.
The cropped version of #6 is my favorite.

I really like that pano shot you posted here, beautiful sky and really like mountains and clouds.

1) the pano (last post)
2) #4
3) #1
The others are nice too, but these three are the winners for me.

Wow, nice stuff. #3 and #6 get me going. And #7.

Your favorite is also my favorite. I really like how you framed the peak!
Next vote goes for the vertical composition immediately afterward.
Finally, the pano. is just superb! It's #2 on my list of favorites.
I agree with Scott...mo' bottom!
I really like what you have in the bottom right corner of the uncropped version.

Way to go, Nick!!

3,5 and 7 are extra sweet!

Number three is excellent, but I also like the pano.

Nick, #6 cropped is looking really good. I'm not sure if I like it better with the bottom of the original version or not. I'd have to flip a coin. Glad you liked the suggestion.

Hi Nick. These are great. I really like #1 - I think because the shadow isn't as strong in that one. I like #3 a lot, too. This may sound strange, but I wonder if I'd like it even more with the moon cloned out...? It seems to draw to over to the edge and I feel like I want to focus more on the middle where the colors are. Love the pano of #6! Nice work.
