I have scoured the BWPA website and I cannot find any reference to file naming conventions....
If its there would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
I have entered some images into the competition.
and just labeled them-Kingfisher etc,
after uploading you get a unique reference number for each image, and you can view your own entry's on the site

I think a lot of the details on this particular website are less than clear. Take category 6 for example:
"6. Wildlife in my locality
One of the remits of BWPA is to encourage you to explore and discover your local area. Images must have been photographed in the county in which you live on the date the image is entered (proof of location may be requested). All species will be considered."
When I first read this I took it as meaning that you could only enter a photo taken in your home county on the day you actually took the photo (likely to be a small category and therefore well worth entering!). Read it carefully and what it actually says is that you can only enter photos taken in the county in which you are permanently resident on the day you enter the photo. Perhaps it is just me being thick.

I wouldn't have expected there to be any need for a file naming convention for uploaded images.
Having said that I haven't got round to submitting any images yet so I can't say for definite
Rob
I have highlighted this to BWPA and hopefully we will get an answer soonest via email.

It was just that on the terms and conditions it refered to file naming etc and that the info was on the 'What you should know' page, which it wasn't.
All the best
