A Different Look at RMNP - #2
This shot in particular I wanted some opinions about. Again, taken in early June at Emerald Lake before the total thaw. This one is rotated so that the mountains are looking up...

This one is as-shot. I still might work on it in PS because of some distortion on either version to correct the tilt. Wish I had a PC/TS lens. Let me know what you think!

I like #2 better...having it upside-down is a bit too odd for me. The distortion really doesn't bother me at all, as there's no obvious straight lines to distort. Maybe boost the contrast a little.

Very creative, Joshua. Although I find #1 a bit disorienting, I really like it and the more I look at it the more I prefer it over #2.

Definitely #2. And I don't think it needs anything. I say print it, and print it big!

I like number 2. The first is obviously upside down.

Cheers,

Another vote for #2. I like what you're doing with this series...very creative! I like #1 - but it was quite disorienting for me.

Yep, #2 for me as well. The first one is just too disorienting.

I'm much more partial to #2. The first one confused me. I thought we were viewing mountains from inside of an ice cave.

Another vote for #2, as is.
It's real nice to see such unique perspectives from you here.

#1 looks like what you'd experience if you were trippin' out on some psychedelic drug, it makes me want to stand on my head to view it! I vote for #2. Great comp.

Another vote for number 2. I appreciate trying something new, but it kind of made me dizzy lokking at it

I'll say #1, it's clearly better, the others dont know what theyre talking about
Ok...actually its #2. Although I would pobably combine the two at 50% opacity just to see how crazy it looks then.

#2 sits better in my opinion.

Right side up is awesome - very creative!

The tilt actually adds to this image, IMO.

#2! Something upside down like #1 would probably only work well if it was more abstract so that it took the viewer a while to figure out what's reality.

You made my brain hurt! There is a time to turn things upside down, however, I like this one right side up.

#2 for sure, #1 makes my eyes hurt trying to figure it out.
