As the reservoir's get lower in my county, these wonderful grass abstracts appear.

Hi Dan, I like the rhythm of the waves of grass curving towards the top of the frame, and I think high contrast works well here. But the fallen leaves are distracting for me. I was going to suggest a crop from the bottom but that would deemphasize the rhythm as well.

Scouting reservoirs for grass is a great concept. I might have to try looking around in my area.

Dan, as always you seem to have some good ideas towards working the not so obvious. To me, that is what is so unique about this art form. The only suggestion I could make here is to push maybe a slight amount of yellow into the shadow area with the Color Balance and see if that offsets some of the dark blue just a bit. Otherwise, the comp works fine as a push towards the unique, and of course the abstractive look too.

I like the pattern of grasses and mixture of leaves captured here. I too wouldn't mind a slight crop off the bottom to minimize the clutter of leaves in the LLC. Other than that, this more than works for me... nice find!

Pretty contrasty scene, the grass really pops. I'm not used to this since it's so different but I like it.
