I tried to find the answer to my question using CS2's help menu, but my lack of knowledge of the program probably caused me to miss the answer that was right in front of my face. Anyways, I'm wondering how you combine multiple exposure bracketed images into one image to increase DR. Thanks in advance for the help.
Blending is simply exposing an image for the shadows, exposing one for the highlights, stacking the images and then using a layer mask to create a correctly exposed image.
Here's a tutorial for a simple blend that takes the place of using graduated neutral density filters.
For images with more complex subjects, try this simple method.
Of course, give Merge to HDR in PS a try, as well.
Wow, thanks again for your help. I did a Merge to HDR image this evening of the sunset and it turned out OK, but not how I thought it would. I will definitely give it more time and I will try the other methods you suggested. Thanks again...I appreciate it.
