Hey folks of RMNP. Been without a PC for a few months now, but now that I've got it back.. I'm working on a new series of the Grand Canyon and just looking for opinions on this one.
I like this Kurt. I see a nice range of tones to it. I'm torn whether I want to see more contrast in the canyon areas or whether it should be left as is cloudy/foggy. Either way I think it would work!
I like the cloudy/foggy canyon, but my first thought was that I wished I could see more of it. I don't think the foreground interests me more than the canyon does.
This has potential, but it needs some work still.
First, there's no true white point set yet (see your histogram).
Second, the canyon needs much more contrast to bring out its features.
I like this shot. Not sure the foreground does much for me...but it doesn't distract. It seems a bit tilted CW to me..but then I don't always have my head on straight, etiher.
Thanks for the thoughts everyone. It's often difficult to get pleasing contrast in to scenes that were very low in the first place. I'm going to re work it and and I'll get a new one up.

Would love to see a reworked version of this one.
