I have already posted an image from this spot but things are slow in these dog days of summer so here goes.

In warm and humid weather there are times when the moisture condenses into raindrops at altitude but evaporate before they hit the ground.

Cambo RS, P45 DB, 72mm, f/11, 1/4 second, ISO 50.

Lovely colors. The ducks in the foreground are a nice touch. Too bad they were not in the middle of the reflected light. Like rain that never reaches the ground . . . nature seems to play with us at times.

Nice soft glitter path and colorful background. I wonder if those geese are flightless now? They are in the molt stage in central Missouri and can't fly. Wildlife biologists take this opportunity to herd them with boats into makeshift corrals on land to band them.

Don, These geese flew in just as I was composing but they are herding together on the lake more than normal.

Ohhh, sweet light and a very nice capture of this atmospheric tease. I tend to like landscapes dark and moody ... and with light this nice I'd have to say I love it!
