Butler Gulch Area Cascades & Wildflowers
Had to see for myself the wildflowers up near Jones Pass, so went for a brisk hike this morning and found some interesting scenes. Very nice area FYI if you have not been. The Henderson Mine of course makes one think otherwise but once you're two minutes on the trail you forget it's even there.

Hey nice work Chris! I did not get out this weekend. Spent the time printing some expiremental shots I did two years ago.

These are very nice Chris, I like #2 & 4 the most, perfect lighting for this kind of scene/flowers!.

That 4th one is AMAZING! You've captured so much depth in the scene, the way the trees in the distance and the disappearing creek make one wonder what's beyond view. The others are nice, too, but that one really caught my eye.

These are all fun to look at Chris. The lichens on the rocks around the columbine add to the color of that image, the deep red of the paintbrush is intriguing. I can't really decide if I like the lower or higher angle better on the two stream shots, they are both impressive, I like your shutter speed choice on them both too.

These are all nice! The flowers in #3 are so vibrant that I I'd like to have seen a close-up of just the flowers.

#4 is awesome...I love the distance the river covers in the image. To me it's a perfect composition.

Thank you everyone for the comments, this I personally felt was a very productive outing; I slowed things down and really took the time and waited for the light to be just right. I think with digital photography we get a little impatient and ahead of ourselves, so this was a good exercise for me. Summer's here, so get out there and shoot!!!

All are great shots. The flowers look like the sat's a little strong on my monitor, but all of these are portfolio shots.
