I'm thinking about taking a trip to the Tetons for some fall colors.
Would love to here some suggestions on places to go and what dates you think would be best for some colors.
I would love to get away from the crowds if possible...
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Kevin,
I've been there a number of times in the fall and will be heading back there again this year.
I try to be out there for the last week of September and usually find peak colors somewhere around the 30th of the month. But that can vary slightly from year to year. Colors usually begin somewhere around the 15th but don't usually pick up until the 25th or so.
My favorite venues are:
1. Oxbow Bend
2. Schwabacher Landing
3. Mormon Barns
4. Blacktail Ponds Overlook
5. Snake River Overlook
All offer spectacular sunrise venues. The Park is mainly a sunrise shooter's park, which means getting out by around 5:00 AM every morning to park yourself and set up.
The Park does get crowded for these sunrise venues but nowhere near the crowds of the summertime. Leave your late afternoons reserved for wildlife shooting, leading up to dusk. Sunset landscape shooting in the Park is a crap shoot, all dependent upon the sky conditions (you want to look for clouds and sky color).
