ID Request
Well, my early searching hasn't been fruitful. I don't believe this is an osprey, and he/she never turned directly to face me... So I would really appreciate the help. Kept spreading his wings wide on the ground, interesting behavior... is that some sort of chest-flexing???

Thank you to everyone in advance, I'll post two views.

It's a cormorant (double-crested?). It's drying its wings.

Definitely Double-crested Cormorant, a common species along the NJ coast. The only other cormorant that occurs in NJ is the Great Cormorant, and that is mostly limited to winter.
