After a long, hot and sleepless night in the back of my vehicle this was my reward yesterday morning. Bill and I were blessed with a beautiful sunset Saturday evening and the following sunrise wasn't too bad either. Shot on one of the many prairies we visited in SW Missouri over the weekend. It was a short but enjoyable prairie shoot with one of Arkansas' best nature photographers. Thanks Bill!
One of these days, I'm just gonna' have to pick up a wide-angle lens so I can try to shoot this sort of scenic. The Blazing Star plants are simply gorgeous.
Wayne, I guess sleeping in the back of a truck takes some getting used to...but heck, we each saved 60 bucks or so, and didn't have to drive anywhere for a sunrise location!
What a lovely capture of the sunrise color you've shown here. Are you going to mention the lightning trigger that neither of us had? There was actually a pretty good light show going on in the sky while we were shooting here, but I don't think either of us were quick enough to catch it.
Very nice shot Wayne and worth your effort. The color in the flowers and sky compliment each other and lead you through a great scene. You guys get an award for camping in the middle of the summer in Missouri.
