Paradise Basin
Late last week I was in Paradise Basin near Crested Butte with pal Bob Karcz. I shot this image just before the sun disappeared behind the mountain to the west. For a few moments the breeze completely dropped and we had a lovely mirror lake before us.

As always, comments are welcome.

OK, just stared at this capture for literally MINUTES and am still speechless. One of those shots where you don't need to say anything at all, cause the photo says everything. Absolutely breathtaking...

I agree with Jared: it's stunning. A beautiful shot of one of my favorite places in Colorado.

Stunning, nice work Rod. The mountain in the center works great, and I like the flowers ll (add's interest). Sweet!

I like the shot, but it looks like you went a little heavy on the highlight/shadow. There's some fairly pronounced halos around the trees, and the clouds are lacking any bright whites and look kind of soft on contrast. I'd like to see them host some brighter whites.

Classic Paradise scene, and good that you got still water. Fix the halos and print it big!

Lovely. Very tranquil. I agree with others complaining about the halos between the trees and sky. That jumped out at me right away.

The comp is really nice Rod. Only one halow seems to slightly bothersome but only if you really put you nose up to it. Great shot!
