Hello all,

Although we missed it, are there any good lavender fields to take fam-fam pictures in? Or early morning ones? I saw one in HR. Is it worth the drive?

I might be able to spend a 1/2 day somewhere. Just wondering if I should make the trek.

The Sequim (WA) Lavendar Festival is this weekend. Below is a quick snap from 7-16-2006, timing is fine...you did not miss anything. Crowds will be thick. IF you got their before then...much better...because they will be harvesting quickly. You might scout out some places and contact the owners for an evening/morning shot. I have seen a pro-photographer set up in the field shooting families...and he had a 10 foot ladder to help him get a better pov of the surrounding slopes.

Jardin Du Soleil (http://www.jardindusoleil.com/)

I visited this garden during a photo workshop about two years back. Ironically, it rained so hard that my jacket pockets filled with water and flooded one of my CF cards. "Garden of Sun" my foot...

It's a beautiful place. Look for Grouse running around with their chicks.. they are all over the place.
