I don't know if it's the season or if everyone is just raising their own personal "bar" of excellence, but this past week in the Fauna Gallery was nothing short of amazing. Not only were the number of images posted way up, but the quality level jumped again (for almost ALL the images and contributors). It's great to see!
This means of course, that choosing a single Pick of the Week was tremendously difficult - and that my short list of contenders wasn't very short. What follows is a random sampling of a few images that made my short list, presented in no specific order. I think they all deserve a good look...
Ultimately, I chose Bison by Lon Sharp as the Pick of the Week. For those of you who don't know Lon and his work - Lon's an amazingly thoughtful shooter (and commenter on images) and it's rare that his posts aren't in the running as the Pick of the Week. Why did I choose this image - check out the image (and comments) yourself - I think you'll figure out why!
Thanks again to everyone who posted images or left comments in the Fauna Gallery in the last week. It's wonderful to see the quality of imagery getting stronger every week!
Hey Brad and thanks for including my image in this list of awesome images. I just saw this tonight for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised and honored.
