This comes as a bit of a shock Edwin. Your images are usually outstandingly good but this one is IMHO quite the opposite. The composition is altogether wrong.
Hi Edwin,
I've looked at this one several times and I quite like it.
The composition works for me and the way the sunlight is spotlighting the foreground birds is excellent.
It's a shame the background isn't a little further out of focus allowing the foreground birds to stand out even further, but I think you've just about got away with that, due to the diffferent lighting on foreground and background.
I like the idea and can see what you were trying to achieve here. The foreground rocks and grass are perhaps too in-focus though, and the same for those background birds which just needed to be hinted at. It would have been interesting to see what the effect would have been at f/4.
Yesterday I thought about a good title. I chose 'living on the edge' but I almost named it 'shooting on the edge' I'm not surprised about the comments at all but I really want to thank you about your honest comments. I really apreciate it and I think this is the way it should be. Be honest about your comments, try to shoot something completely different so now and then, post it and explore.
Thanks guys.
O yes, Do I like the image myself? Yes, but I know it's a bit on the edge. I do have the same images using F4-F16.

You can't win them all!
I get the idea but the lack of differential focus between the fore- and back-ground reduces the impact of this image.
Still a usable shot but we are so used to seeing 'stonkers' from you
Cheers,
