Benson Beach Dunes
Benson Beach(some call it Benson's Beach)begins at the North jetty at the mouth of the Columbia and extends North to the rock cliffs on which North Head Lighthouse is located. The beach has been eroding at an alarming(to some people)rate and attempts to stop or slow it have been somewhat successful. The jetty has been rebuilt and what I call sand fences (like snow fences) have been built to aid in the anti-erosion effort. I took this with a G10. The wind was howling and blowing sand every where.

This has a nice rhythm to it. My only suggestion would be, perhaps, to crop a little bit of sky off the top...? Cool shot, Jim.

It is a cool shot. My suggestion would be to clone out the birds. They kind of look like dust bunnies. Maybe do the same with the little sparkly things in the sand?

Nice shot, Jim. The fg dune seems to mimic the ocean waves; I think that's pretty cool. The fences add some interest and I kinda like the birds being there. The bright speckles in the sand? Dunno... Overall, a good documentary look at the scene.

I like the repeating patterns of the fences.
